The word “dance” is so vast here.

I had done jazz dance, girls hip hop, hip hop, latin dance, modern dance, and even ballet.

However, I spent most of my time teaching jazz, girls hip hop, and hip hop. I am at the point of my life where I am keeping my dance focused on one style. Teaching jazz dance is closest to my heart.

Jazz dance gives me the space to create with different genres of music. The technical requirements of jazz dance also complements very nicely my current practice of yoga and pilates. This dance style is so rich in creativity and styles. Watching musicals is one of my hobbies and it has definitely influenced my works.

I had been choreographing and teaching for more than a decade and had the opportunity to work with many reputable TV producers, show directors, event managers, talented dancers, and fellow choreographers. One company worth mentioning is MediaCorp Studios. I literally grew up there. I had worked closely with the producers and many TV crew for more than 10 years. It had given me many opportunities to try new choreography from dancing on sand in the TV studio to Kagemu dance concept.

My dance life has been colourful and working with celebrities has taught me how to simplify movements for non-dancers that will still work on stage for TV broadcast.
